How To Configure Your Laptop to Use Free Wireless Internet Access  

 
Note: If you use a wireless networking card, your laptop is probably already configured correctly.    
 

1.  Click on Start, then Control Panel.

    

2.  Double click on the icon labeled Network Connections or Network or Networking.		    

3.  Double click on the icon labeled Wireless Networking, or that is named according to your wireless card.		    

4.  Click Properties.		    

5. Click on TCP/IP.  Click Properties.

 		    

6.  Check "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically."

    

7.  Click OK and Close and you're done.
